Katie is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) who works with teens and adults navigating trauma, PTSD, attachment wounds, emotional overwhelm, and relationship challenges. She also has experience supporting neurodivergent clients who may struggle with communication, emotional regulation, masking, burnout, and managing the demands of everyday life. Katie understands that many clients are highly self-aware and insightful, yet still feel emotionally stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves and others.
At Justyn’s Corner Child and Family Counseling Center, Katie provides a compassionate, collaborative, and supportive environment where clients can feel emotionally safe while processing difficult experiences and working toward healing and growth.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Katie uses EMDR to help clients process traumatic experiences and reduce emotional distress connected to past events. Through ACT, she helps clients develop practical coping skills and increase psychological flexibility, while IFS supports clients in understanding themselves with greater curiosity, self-compassion, and acceptance rather than judgment.
Katie values transparency, psychoeducation, and building strong therapeutic relationships. She believes therapy should move at a pace that feels safe and supportive while also helping clients recognize their progress, resilience, and capacity for change.
